Problems compiling

I am trying to follow the Cyrus IMAP Howto at the LDP
(http://en.tldp.org/HOWTO/Cyrus-IMAP.html). I have downloaded the latest
version (I think), cyrus-imapd-2.2.5 but when I try and run configure I
get this message at the end:

rm: cannot lstat `.' in `./confstatP0K05f': Stale NFS file handle

Is that any error or what? I am fairly new to Linux so I am not sure. I
think it must be because when I run any make command I get:

[root at localhost cyrus-imapd-2.2.5]# make depend
cd .; rm -f config.cache; autoconf
Can't locate object method "path" via package "Request" at
/usr/share/autoconf/Autom4te/C4che.pm line 69, <GEN1> line 111.
make: *** [configure] Error 1

Is this an error with Cyrus or autoconf? I have autoconf version 2.59.

Thanks for any help,
Luca Spiller
