db.spec.patch not successful :-(

Folks,

I applied the db.spec.patch for FC1 db4 to the FC1 source RPM spec file,
rebuilt db4, installed all 3 components (rpm -Uhv), reconfigured and rebuilt
imapd 2.2.3 and installed that on top of my first attempt. I then tried:

% ctl_mboxlist -d /imap/conf/mailboxes.db
fatal error: can't read mailboxes file

In the imapd.log, I get

Feb 18 22:36:58 gatemaster ctl_mboxlist[20708]: skiplist: invalid magic header: /imap/conf/mailboxes.db
Feb 18 22:36:58 gatemaster ctl_mboxlist[20708]: DBERROR: opening /imap/conf/mailboxes.db: cyrusdb error

What's up? Why is it looking for skiplist stuff when it seems it knows to use
db4?
