Trouble using imap-folders from backup after hardware-crash

Hello,

since my servers harddrive crashed I had to reinstall the whole system.
I decided to use a SuSE 9.1 instead of the old 8.0. So, there is bdb v4.2
instead of v4.0 and cyrus-imap v2.2.x instead of v2.1.x.
So I followed the instructions to upgrade the db as written here:

But when issuing cvt_cyrusdb i get the message:

Converting from /var/imap/mailboxes.db (berkeley) to
/var/imap/mailboxes.db.new (skiplist)
fatal error: can't open old database

In /var/log/messages I find:

Is there any way to reconstruct my mailboxes?
