I'm using fetchmail like this with cyrus-imapd. That way fetchmail
delivers directly via lmtp:

/usr/bin/fetchmail --fetchmailrc /etc/fetchmailrc --smtphost \
/var/lib/imap/socket/lmtp --syslog --daemon 120 --all
