Hi,

I am running cyrus imapd for a couple of years now. Suddenly I get the
following error message in the log:

May 9 10:15:32 enron imapd[5375]: seen_db: user westner opened
/var/imap/user/w
/westner.seen
May 9 10:15:32 enron imapd[5375]: open: user westner opened INBOX
May 9 10:16:10 enron master[1191]: process 5381 exited, status 0
May 9 10:19:22 enron imapd[5375]: open: user westner opened INBOX
May 9 10:19:22 enron imapd[5375]: IOERROR: fstat on 39454.: Value too
large for
  defined data type
May 9 10:19:22 enron imapd[5375]: Fatal error: can't fstat message file
May 9 10:16:10 enron master[1191]: process 5381 exited, status 0

I did a little research an came to the conclusion that fstat would
return such an error if the file was bigger than 2GB. But in reality it
is
enron westner # ls -l 39454.
-rw------- 1 cyrus mail 1062 May 9 00:18 39454.

Only rebooting the machine will allow me again to open the mbox. After
some time it will happen again. I don't know if this is a system
problem, but so far the problem only occurred with cyrus impad and no
other software.

I am running cyrus-imapd-2.1.11 on Gentoo linux (kernel 2.4.19) on an
xfs filesystem.

Anybody knows what this might be?

thanks

Dominik
