Okay, on to the next set of problems. I am getting a whole slew of DBERRORS
when the server starts up. The following is a snippet from the syslog when
the Cyrus server is first started:
master[1334637]: process started
master[1334878]: about to exec /usr/cyrus/bin/ctl_cyrusdb
ctl_cyrusdb[1334878]: DBERROR db4: unable to join the environment
master[1334637]: process 1334878 exited, status 1
master[1334637]: ready for work
master[1334358]: about to exec /usr/cyrus/bin/ctl_cyrusdb
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR db4: unable to join the environment
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: dbenv->open '/var/imap/db' failed: Operation
would block
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: init() on berkeley
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: reading /var/imap/db/skipstamp, assuming the
worst: No such file or directory
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: checkpointing cyrus databases
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR db4: txn_checkpoint interface requires an
environment configured for the transaction subsystem
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: couldn't checkpoint: Invalid argument
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: sync /var/imap/db: cyrusdb error
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR db4: DB_ENV->log_archive interface requires
an environment configured for the logging subsystem
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: error listing log files: Invalid argument
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: archive /var/imap/db: cyrusdb error
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR db4: txn_checkpoint interface requires an
environment configured for the transaction subsystem
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: couldn't checkpoint: Invalid argument
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: sync /var/imap/db: cyrusdb error
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR db4: DB_ENV->log_archive interface requires
an environment configured for the logging subsystem
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: error listing log files: Invalid argument
ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: DBERROR: archive /var/imap/db: cyrusdb error

ctl_cyrusdb[1334358]: archiving database file: /var/imap/mailboxes.db

....
The directory structure looks pretty much like the following:
drwxr-x--- cyrus mail /var/imap
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/proc
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/db
-rw------- cyrus mail /var/imap/db/__db.001
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/log
-rw------- cyrus mail /var/imap/mailboxes.db
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/msg
-rw-r--r-- cyrus mail /var/imap/msg/save.shutdown
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/socket
srwxrwxrwx root mail /var/imap/socket/lmtp
-rw------- cyrus mail /var/imap/socket/imap-0.lock
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/user
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/user/a
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/user/...
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/user/z
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/quota
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/quota/a
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/quota/...
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/quota/z
drwxr-xr-x cyrus mail /var/imap/ptclient
-rw------- cyrus mail /var/imap/annotations.db
Any ideas? I have been scouring the archives, and so far, I see that two
people have posted messages about the above problem (one last November and
one this past March), and there were no responses.
I am using Cyrus 2.2.1-beta with BerkeleyDB 4.0.14 on a Tru64 5.1a cluster.
Any help would be appreciated!
Scott
