Net::LMTP returning 354 instead of 250 ...

Morning ...

  We've been puzzling over this for awhile, and I'm not getting anywhere
with it ... have a user that has a vacation setup ... if we send email to
them, it goes through out lmtpproxy.pl "server" and gets passed to the
real lmtp server no problem ... if we reply to the 'vacation' message, I
get a return code of 354 on the $lmtp->dataend(); command, so the mail
fails ...

  I've attached the email itself (based on what the lmtpproxy is trying to
send through ... but can't see anything that stands out ...

  The server is using postfix for its MTA ... according to the logs, test1
received it as:
