ctl_cyrusdb running forever

Hi.

I'm using cyrus impad 21.1.14. In cyrus.conf an event is
configured to start ctl_cyrusdb. As far as i understand it, this
is needed for mainentance.

The problem is, that ctl_cyrusdb starts but never ends. So afer
some days i have quite a few ctl_cyrusdb processes running.

I don't think this is normal behavior, so i ask for any hints to
solve this problem.
