Upgade my Postfix cyrus email and add LDAP directory.

I have been running Cyrus 2.0.9-3 and Postfix 20010202-4 as my email
server for 2 years. It has been running without a hitch. I do have
several concerns. With it not being upgraded, I worry that I am way
behind on security patches and not taking advantages of new
capabilities. I also want to add LDAP to this configuration to take
advantage of the directory capabilities. I am using sasl authentication
with my server. I am running these levels of software:

cyrus-sasl-1.5.25-17
cyrus-imapd-2.0.9-3
postfix-20010202-4
db3-3.2.9-4

1. What do I have to do to upgrade my server to the latest Postfix and
Cyrus software.
2. How do I add an LDAP directory to my server and make it useful for
my users?

I know this may sound simple but I am in a production environment and
don't have the resources for a test server so I have one shot at this.
Any help would be great appreciated.
