password expiration

Hello:

I am using Cyrus Imap on FreeBSD, authentication done by
sasl_pwcheck_method: pwcheck.

I am trying to set certain accounts with password expiration, and even
though this works with basic logins, it does not work with imap.  The
login into imap continues to work even after the password expires.

Is there anything I need to do to make this work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
