sieve issues

Since the stuff below works on my test environment, but not on my
production server (and I built the packages that are in use in my
production environment on the development environment), I have to wonder
what's up with my production environment.  My question is ...

kudzu:/var/spool/sieve/b/brianb#  sieveshell --user=brianb
--authname=brianb localhost

... how do I enable debugging on sieveshell to find where this is going
