OpenLDAP 2.0.x links against SASLv1 only, it does not support SASLv2.

OpenLDAP 2.1.x links against SASLv2.

FYI, Redhat >=8.0 will provide SASLv2 I'm told,  <=7.3 only has SASLv1.
