Post Cyrus IMAP Install Errors

I recently completed the installation and
configuration of cyrus-imapd-2.1.8 (build from
source).  I am able to start the master process, but
several errors are reported in the syslog on startup.

There seems to be an issue with "setrlimit" and
several db errors referencing lockers.

I am attempting to use the prefork.conf file for my
cyrus.conf.  I have been able to verify that the
daemons are running on 110, 143, 993, 995, 2000, and
2003.  Imtest seems to establish a connection
successfully.

Any ideas of what might be causing these errors?
