Henning reported that he cannot reproduce after replacing the RAM
in the two machines.

I have also recommended a RAM check there now
and will wait for the results.
Another reason for RAM failure could be bad power supplies,
e.g. underpowered ones.

If you can see this on several servers, 
it would exclude RAM and powersupplies I guess?
Maybe we are in need of stress tests for annotations and the
skiplist database?
