[CMUBDC] First Competition!

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hello Ballroom Friends,

My name is Karishma Kulshrestha and I am beyond excited to be your
Competition Team Captain for this year! Our first competition of the year
is during the last weekend of September, 9/27 - 9/29, which is only 3
weekends from now. This competition is very newcomer friendly, so we hope
to see all of you there. The cheapest pricing is available if you sign up
this week, for first time competitors or open-only dancers, it is $30 and
for the rest of us it is $45. If you register between 9/6-9/21 then the
pricing is $35 for first-timers and open-only, and $55 for everyone else.
If you are interested you must sign up before 9/21 this will give us time
to complete your registration and ensure that there is housing for everyone
who would like to come!

and I will gladly help you or find someone else who can! I’m looking
forward to getting to know you all better over the course of the semester
and always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions,
competition-related or otherwise.

There is a mock competition on 9/21, to help newcomers adjust to
competition format and have some practice before the real competition the
following weekend ! I am also planning a poster-making party during the
week of 9/23, more details to come but just know that if you attend there
will be people on the sidelines rooting for you always :)
