General Announcements:

Membership Dues: $40 for students. $80 for non-students. Cash or check.



Late Rounds: 10:15pm on BOTH Monday and Wednesday this week, all 4 styles,
to get you ready for Mock Comp. Wednesday will be “costume rounds”! You
can/should wear your competition clothes to get used to dancing in them
before mock comp on Saturday. Anyone participating in mock comp should make
an effort to attend this as it will help you get ready.



Masquerade Ball Social is Friday Oct 22, 8pm, Rangos Ballroom. Dress code
is semi-formal, but please dress on the more formal side. We want this to
be a black-tie event. Our theme is Victorian x High Class, and we will
distribute masks to quite literally have a masquerade ball. Facebook event

Mock Comp is Saturday October 23, doors open at 8am and we start at 9am!
Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate. No partner, no problem,
sign up anyways BY TONIGHT. We will make sure everyone gets to dance.

Borrowing attire from the Ballroom Closet for Mock Comp: In preparation for
Mock Comp, we are loaning out dresses, vests, and more from our closet. See
the Mock Comp email for details on attire.



Mentoring groups created: For those of you that have paid dues, we are
having a mentorship program running for the semester, split among different
houses hosted by our veterans. If you are not currently in a mentor group,
it is because you haven’t paid your dues. Pay your dues to Arthur and he
will add you to a group.

November Events: We’ve got other exciting events planned with more details
to come, but for a quick teaser…

Ohio Star Ball: We are going to travel to Columbus on Nov 19-21 to compete
at Ohio Star Ball! You really do not want to miss this; it is a phenomenal
experience and is typically one of the highlights of the semester for all
who attend. We compete in the college sections during the day and watch the
professional finals at night in a black-tie attire event. The trip is
subsidized for ALL members who paid dues, regardless of enrollment status
