Hello Ballroom Friends,

First, thanks to everyone who came out to Ohio Star Ball! Hopefully, you
enjoyed the competition as much as we did (from the professional show to
the collegiate section), and we can’t wait for more competitions to come.



Also, this is our last week of lessons for the semester. So, we won’t see
you again after this Wednesday until the new year. Have fun and stay safe :)

General Announcements:



Returning Closet Items DUE THIS WEEK: If you currently have items from
CMU’s ballroom closet (especially from Ohio Star Ball), please return them
either to our officers or the ballroom table before lessons either on
Monday or Wednesday.



December Social hosted by Pitt Ballroom: The Ballroom Club at Pitt would
like to formally invite CMU and Dusquene ballroom club members to attend
our social on December 2! The social will be from 8-10pm in the William
Pitt Union Assembly Room! There will be a mini bachata lesson from 8-8:30
and social dancing for the remainder of the time. If you are interested in
attending, please sign up with the link below, so we can give you a guest
pass to enter the building. If you do not receive a confirmation email by
Wednesday 12/1 at 9pm, please message Amy Padia through email(

Holiday Gift Exchange/Potluck: As per tradition, we will be organizing a
Ballroom Secret Santa! We will have a holiday party/potluck at 1900
Wightman on December 8 (finals reading day) time tbd (but likely sometime

Wednesday 11/24 if you would like to participate in the gift exchange so we
can make the pairings. When you sign up at the link, you should be able to
add your interests/stuff you want to a wishlist. We highly recommend adding
something because it makes gifts more personalized and fun! Let us know if

Membership Dues: $40 for students. $80 for non-students. Cash or check.



Mentoring groups created: For those of you that have paid dues, we are
having a mentorship program running for the semester, split among different
houses hosted by our veterans. If you are not currently in a mentor group,
it is because you haven’t paid your dues. Pay your dues to Arthur and he
will add you to a group.
