[CMUBDC] Ballroom Lessons - Week of 2/17

Hello Ballroom friends,

A long email once again, but theres lot of important info, so please do
read!

Newcomers especially or any member of our dancing community: if you are*
interesting in competing* with the CMU BDC Competition Team and joining us
at our next comp, please fill out this form to indicate your

Also, *CMU Ballroom elections* are coming up once again. Whether or not you
are thinking of running for a position, please attend the election to help
us decide the future of the club!

Officers are responsible for deciding on all aspects of club function
including but not limited to lessons offered, instructors hired, fees
charged, events organized, and competitions participated in. If you
want to *apply
for an officer position*, applications will be accepted until *Monday,
March 9, at 12:00 PM (noon)*.  Please read the descriptions of elected

All membership card holders (from F19/S20) are eligible to attend the
elections and/or cast their vote.  All membership card holders who are CMU
students are eligible to run for office. To sign up to *run as a
candidate *(for
up to two positions) or *nominate someone else*, please use this* form

Elections will be held *Wednesday, March 18, 2019 at 9:30 pm in the
Danforth Conference Room*. Even if you’re not running, come to elections
and cast your vote for the individuals you think would be the most
qualified to make these decisions to benefit all of you!

Also Matias, our social chair will be holding another *pow-wow* today, *Monday,
February 17*. The *veteran pow-wow* will be at* 7:30 PM* after Rounds.
The *newcomer
pow-wow* will be between the beginner lessons around* 8:40 - 8:50 PM*.

We are taking *payments* for the lessons. Please pay ASAP! We accept either
cash or check. Please make the check out to *Carnegie Mellon University*.
The pricing is on the form, but I am repeating it below for clarity. Please
let me know if you have any questions:

*Students* - $35 for Beginner Lessons (7:30 PM - 9:30 PM); $30 for
Intermediate/Gold Lessons

*Non-Students* - $80 for Beginner Lessons (7:30 PM - 9:30 PM); $75 for
Intermediate/Gold Lessons

*Salsa/Bachata* - $20 for one, $30 for both (9:30 PM - 10:15 PM)

Also, out annual *Scotch Ball* is coming up soon! Please reserve you ticket

The form must be filled out per individual. If you are paying for multiple
people, please specify with the tabler when you pay.

*Pricing:*

**Beginner dancers*: We recommend you attend both the professionally taught
newcomer lessons and the student taught beginner lessons. This membership
only costs a *flat $35 for students*, covering the entire semester! For
non-students, this fee is $80.
