*Announcements and **Upcoming Events*

*VE Dancer Visit (Oct 3 @ 5:00PM - 9:00PM. UC- Rangos Ballroom)*

They only come in once a semester so don't miss the opportunity to try on
high-quality shoes and find the perfect fit! If you are planning on
competing this semester, you should definitely get shoes.

****We have teamed up with VE dance, receive 10% off to order purchases
through our website <http://www.cmubdc.org/> (banner is located at the
bottom of the page). *

*Ed Simon Workshop **(Oct 7 @ 7:00AM - 7:00PM. UC- Rangos Ballroom)*

United States Professional American Ballroom Champion Ed Simon will be
teaching classes, privates, and semi-privates at CMU this fall! This is an
amazing opportunity that is open to dancers of all levels, so I encourage
you to sign up. Register here

*Mock Comp*

*Mock comp registration is open! *It is a really awesome event we hold
every year to simulate a competition. You’ll get to practice walking on and
off the floor, dancing for “judges”, checking callback sheets, doing
competition hair/makeup/attire, and cheering on your friends! I encourage
everyone to sign up! Link here.

*China Shoe Order*

Every year we present the opportunity to order shoes together in bulk for
cost. This provides a relatively economical option. For your shoes to be
ordered, you should fill out this form

and bring money to Ying Chen (at club lessons or practice) by Sunday, Oct. 7.
More details are included in the form.

*Professional lessons expectations*

Come to class on time. Be active and ask questions. Listen to the
instructors first before helping people around you, don’t disrupt other
people’s learning.

*Attire*

*Active competitors:*

Gentlemen: Black pants, appropriate dance shoes

Ladies: A skirt, appropriate dance shoes

*Non-competitors and newcomers:*

Wear anything comfortable

Socks are okay
