[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hello Ballroom Friends!

Come to our *social tomorrow in Rangos at 7pm*! It will be a great chance
to meet dancers of different levels and put those ballroom skills to use!
Even if you are busy, try to stop by for a bit. We will have free snacks!

Due to a big Latin dance event this weekend, our *instructors won't be
available for Bachata on Monday (9/25)*.

Just a reminder that we have the Morewood Multipurpose Room for open floor
every Friday from 4-6pm.

*Saturday Dance Social!!!* (*Sat., Sept. 23 @ 7:00 PM* in Rangos)

We're having our *first social dance* of the year on Sat., Sept. 23 at 7:00
PM.  There will be a *free Hustle lesson* from 7:00-7:45 PM along with lots
of free snacks.  Come use those cool dance moves you've been learning!

*Group Shoe Order*  (Form+Money Due: Sept. 27)

Every year we present the opportunity to order shoes together in bulk for
cost. This provides a relatively economical option.  For your shoes to be
ordered, you should fill out this form and bring money to Stephen by Sept
27.  The shoes will take approximately one month to arrive.  (Late Oct.)


Choose this option if you want cheap shoes ($35) but don't mind waiting
until late October to receive them.


*Glenn Weiss Workshops* (Sat., Sept. 30 @ 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM in Rangos)

Glenn Weiss was a *two-time world champion* professional dancer in dances
like Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango!  We've invited him to come teach workshops
on Sat., Sept. 30.   *For newcomers, there is a lesson at 10:00 AM* (workshops
for other levels later).  You can sign up for classes here

*Apple Picking* (Sat., Oct. 7 @ 10:00 AM - Meet at UC Garage)

We will be leaving from the UC garage at 10:00 AM. Cars will arrive at the
farm at around 11 AM. Afterwards, we may spend some of the afternoon over
at the corn maze area. We will return sometime around 7 PM. Stay afterwards
for a delicious apple pie party! Stayed tuned for further details.

We can only take as many people as we have seats in cars. Drivers please
volunteer! Spots in cars will be given out on a first-come-first-served

*Competition Team*
Are you interested in practicing your dance skills?  How about hanging out
with friends on weekend road trips to neighboring cities for competitions?
Our competition team might be right for you!!!  We practice from 12:30-3:30
PM on Saturdays and Sundays in the UC Activities Room.  We also have fun
social events like apple picking and board game parties.  All experience
levels are welcome, *especially beginners (no experience necessary)*.
