alice-teacher Alice 2.5.4 error

Chris,
I have reached out to the dev team for an explanation as to what changes in the new release may account for this difference.

But quickly and superficially, I am not sure what changes have produced this different behavior, but when you think about it, if two objects are exactly in the same position, the moving object can move in any direction, and satisfy the idea of moving away from. It does not have to be just backward.

I am not sure what changes have been made to the system (I am trying to remember if there had been another issue with move away from that required the change), but it now seems that Alice is using the world’s orientation as part of the implementation of the move away from method.

Perhaps the dev team will have more of an explanation.

Than you,
Don Slater
