Don,
Thanks for the quick response.  We are currently using 3.3.1.2 and probably will not be able to get an upgrade for a little bit...it would have to go through our IT dept. and it usually takes a few days. Besides, it's only happening to one kid and I don't want to do anything that may trigger other issues.  

We did an upgrade back in January while my students were working on some of the tutorials from the Duke Alice site and things got "nutty" with the humvee in the Astronaut On Moon tutorial.  After reading your response, I'm thinking it is a related issue. I've attached a pic for you to see what was happening.  Oddly enough by the way, the humvee was still able to be controlled as per the tutorial.

Alice users,

I have a student who is experiencing an unusual issue with his program scene.  He has added a simple box in his scene from the shapes gallery.  He has resized it to be smaller and gave it a color change.  While working with the program he doesn't experience any issues however when re-opening the file the next time to work on it, the box reverts back to the default size but the color remains.  Yes, he does save regularly while working.  Any thoughts...

This was a known problem with previous versions of Alice 3. We believe the newest version of Alice 3 (3.4) now available at http://www.alice.org <http://www.alice.org/> resolves this issue. Please test it and let is know if you continue to have problems?
