I am experiencing the same "While the world is running event" problem reported in Vol 42 Issue 19. I am running Alice 2.4.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.5

It seems the Alice 2.4 While the World is Running event is not working properly. It doesn't "start up" when the world is opened, and will only run if a key (any key) on the keyboard in held down. It stops running when that key is released. I opened my Alice 2.3 to run the world with the event, and it runs fine.
I tried a few other events, and they all run as expected. The only one I've noticed so far that doesn't work is While the World is Running.
Running on Windows 7.
I have reported the bug to Alice through the link provided on the website.
I'm curious if anyone IS able to get this event running on Alice 2.4, Windows 7 installation?

You might look at the following link for information on the only text using Alice 3 that I am aware of. Note that the sty;e and purpose of the book is to teach Java, and so there will be a lot of back and forth between Alice 3 examples and Java.
This book was written by Tebring Daly and Eilleen Wrigley, community college instructors who partnered with us on a grant.
