alice-teacher Car acceleration

Hi everyone, 
I am trying to create a car racing game in Alice 3. 
I am trying to setup a variable of zero for the car speed.  When I press the right arrow button in the keyboard, the car starts moving. Each time I press the right button, the car accelerates by 1...that is my plan. 
Does anyone know how to accelerate or increment variables in Alice 3? I am trying to increase the speed by 1 whever the right arrow is pressed.
