alice-teacher Export Video in Alice 2.3.1 crashing on Macbooks

Several of my students and I have had Alice freeze when recording video
with the Export Video feature. Sometimes, the playback stops and none of
the buttons respond. Other times the crash occurs when Stop Recording is
clicked. The Stop Recording button turns red and nothing responds. I don't
get an error message, but have to use Force Quit to get out of the Export
Video screen.

Has anyone else had this problem? Doesn't any one know how to fix it?
