This from Professor Rodgers at Duke might help. That is where I went to
the workshop. Look at the sites, they have tutorials. Also, Dr. Rodgers
will know where other workshops around the country are scheduled for next
summer.

Hi to everyone from the June workshop.

I know school has started and everyone must be busy. I wanted to
update you on some Alice related items.

1) Alice 2.2 has been updated and is now called Alice 2.3.
This version should look similar to what you used this summer and
has some bugs fixed.

Alice 3.1 has also been released but that is probably not the version you
want to use, it looks quite a bit different and is more for those
wanting to use it to then transition to Java (serious H.S. programming
course and/or college course).

2) If you are using Alice, I strongly urge you to join the
Alice listserv.

You can post questions you or your students have and they have been
really good about answering them quickly. You can also learn from the
answers.

3) The Alice Symposium will be held on June 19, 2013.
Our followup workshop will be that week June 17-21, so please
save the date for this workshop. On the 19th we will all
attend the Alice Symposium, and the rest of that week we will
have our followup workshop.

Info on the Alice Symposium is brief but here is the website:

  http://www.cs.duke.edu/csed/aliceSymposium2013/

Steve Cooper will be back and many of the CMU Alice people will be
here that week.

I'll let you know when I have more information about it.

4) Our workshop web pages got updated in late summer including
pictures:

http://www.cs.duke.edu/csed/alice/aliceInSchools/workshop12/twoweek.php

Many links should be there now. Let me know if they are not.

We also updated the tutorial page:

  http://www.cs.duke.edu/csed/alice09/tutorials.php

And all your lesson plans should be on this page. Please let us
know if we did not categorize your plans correctly:

5) And Finally, Melissa finished the video she made about the Alice
workshop.
I linked it in on our main page under "Alice Workshops" the second
paragraph mentions her 3-minute video. Some of you are in it.
