What are your errors and what IDE are you using?

You can always do a google search for the errors, but oracle has a lot of information as well.

Is there a web site or something that will help me figure out what the error messages mean?  I actually have never programmed in java, only in the Alice environment.  I know programming, of course, from other languages which is how I'm able to teach the class.  But java per se is new to me.  Is there anywhere someone can point me, maybe a tutorial, where I can learn to read the error messages?
