Collin College in Frisco, Texas, will be hosting an Alice 3 workshop for interested CS1 instructors. The workshop will run from 9am-4pm, July 18-21 (Monday-Thursday). Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Thanks to our National Science Foundation grant, there is no charge for the workshop.

This is a hands-on workshop. You will learn how to use Alice 3 and how to integrate Alice into a CS1 course. The workshop will cover programming basics in Alice and Java (loops, conditionals, methods, parameters, etc.). There will be computers available for you to work from with Alice 3 already installed. Partcipants are expected to attend the workshop for all 4 days and partcipate in small programming projects.

See the following link for more information regarding the workshop: http://collinalice3workshop.eventbrite.com/

Alice is a modern programming environment designed to be a student's first exposure to object-oriented programming. Visit www.alice.org for more details regarding Alice.
