There really is not a lot of support materials available at this time for Alice 3.0 Beta. It is still undergoing some significant revision, although we expect to remove the Beta label by the summer, and are hoping to have a preview edition ready in March. However, I will be happy to answer any questions anyone might have about Alice 3.0 Beta, and in fact will consider putting together some tips and techniques if they might prove helpful.

In terms of adding camera markers, see the attached screen shots:

CameraMarker1: In the screen editor, click on the Markers section of the left hand control pane.
CameraMarker2: Click on the "Create camera marker here" button to create a marker at the original camera position (red marker)
CameraMarker3: Moved the camera to a different position, and created a marker for the second position (green marker)
CameraMarker4: Marker Navigation buttons: (left) move from the current camera position to the green position; (right) move the green marker to the current camera position
CameraMarker5: Return to the code editor, select camera in the instance menu; drag the moveAndOrientTo tile into th eeditor and choose the marker I wish to use from the drop-down menu.

I have placed on our Facebook page, "Alice Intro to Computer Programming", a first attempt at what I hope will be a series of Tips and Techniques.

The December 1, 2011 release of Alice 2.2 added a texture map folder, all the ground texture maps and a image preview to the texture map importer. This short video demonstrates how you might use this feature in your animations.

Please let me know if you have problems viewing the video.
