alice-teacher Alice VR Quest2

Dear All,

After I responded I did a little more digging because I hadn’t actually looked into using virtual pc to do this since I had tested the link cord. I found the following article that appears to show:

1. Virtual PC can be used to achieve the goal of playing desktop VR (there are directions in the link)
2. Quest 2 has a beta program called air Link that can be used to do the same as the corded link approach (directions included in the linked article)
3. The cord that comes with the quest is intended and can be used as a link cord (edits to the article call it out and the comments seem to support that view)

I would love to hear if anyone attempts any of these methods and how the experience is.

Sincerely,

Eric

This cord can be purchased separately or I believe the charging cord that comes with it may work for this purpose when removed from the plug component. If you have it connected to a desktop there is an Oculus desktop application that will power it. It is not an application that you need to purchase. If you look at this page you will see the download software button associated with the section:

If you have this application up and running and you are viewing the home screen in the headset associated with this application then when you launch the Alice Player it will take over the headset and you will see the Alice VR landing space and menu.
