Overview



The ECP helps participants better understand the issues and challenges
faced in navigating successful research careers. The SC17 ECP will be held
on Monday, November 13. Session topics include funding, publishing,
mentorship, time-management, promotion (and tenure as appropriate),
managing service expectations, forming impactful collaborations and getting
involved with SC committees. There is no additional fee for program
participation: accepted participants receive free registration for the
workshop.



Who should apply?

The ECP targets researchers from academia, industry and research
laboratories within the first five years of a permanent position, including
assistant professors and members of technical staff. Post-doctoral
applicants also will be considered.



How to apply?

To apply, submit a CV (up to 4 pages) and a 250-word statement of intent by
the deadline.



Additional Information

Participants may apply for travel support. However, no funding is
guaranteed and at most will cover one night of hotel.
