Welcome to the Storage-research-list.

This list is intended to be used for annoucements of interest to the  
broadest storage systems research community.  It is anticipated that  
this list will be used to annouce conferences, workshops, research  
funding opportunities, award nomination deadlines, research  
appointment openings, etc.

Invitations to join this list have initially been sent to the invitee  
list for NSF's Aug 06 HECIWG workshop on storage.  So far this  
weekend some 50 people have joined.  Its now up to these people to  
help me find and invite the rest of the community, please.
