If the event is in June or July I would go, but not in March. It doesn't matter how cheap the airfare is if it is not possible to take a weeklong trip in March.

    Reading the concern about the travel to/from the airport for  KWDS, I thought I would mention the logistics of the potential site for KWDS in Germany in 2015.
    First off, I would recommend holding it in March, when airfares are cheapest to Germany but when the weather has the potential to be pleasant for tourist activities.
