"United Kingdom

"Works that were unpublished at the author's death and remained so
until 1 August 1989 are protected by copyright in the U.K. for 50
years from 1 January 1990, or until 31 December 2039, after which they
will enter the U.K. public domain."

Note that the author of most of the document is unknown, and Fallows
was unable to even identify John Banys, so his estate is unknown.

I'm still ticked at the 2.15 pounds per already-existing JPG.

Dear Mr McDaniel,

Thank you for your email. I do not know what the title of the
transcript is, as I am afraid our finding aids do not give it
precisely, but I will order it out of our strongrooms and check
whether it is the Fallows article.

The Banys manuscript is classed as an unpublished artistic and
literary work, so it is still protected under UK copyright law.
However, if your research is classed as "private study", then we are
allowed to supply a reasonable proportion of the volume without
breaking the law. We have done this in the past without trouble, as
the dance sections (the list of song titles, the choreography
descriptions and the music) only take up pages 51-79 of the volume.
Using the images on the CD (our CD 133), we could supply these pages
as 15 jpeg files, at a cost of [pounds]2.15 each, i.e. [pounds]32.25.
A copying order form can be found on the "our services" section of our
website. The [pounds]2.15 per image charge is not mentioned on the
form, but it is the charge that applies if we do not need to scan
direct from an original.

Yours,

Mark Smith
