As an example, the heralds get a fair number of "In Search Of"
requests asking for permission to conflict.  The best practice is to
forward the request (and its contact information) just to the intended
recipient.  That way, the recipient can decide whether or not to
contact the person, or can contact them off the list so their e-mail
address doesn't get public.  Several people did it that way with my
recent I.S.O. Teleri request, and I thank them.
