Notes for people traveling to Known World Dance:

Bloomington is full of road construction right now. The whole 45/46 Bypass
around the north side of Bloomington is under construction. Expect delays. Avoid
the "State Road 45/46 Bypass" or "IN-45/IN-46". If you are coming in on IN-37,
take the first or second exit and get onto College Avenue, which is one-way
southbound. Turn left on 7th Street. (If you reach the courthouse square, you've
gone a block too far.) The Indiana Memorial Union is a large building on your
right after you cross Indiana Avenue. Look for the entrance with the digital,
scrolling sign. I've posted an album with pictures of the IMU on the KWDS
Facebook page.

If you are flying and taking the Bloomington Shuttle, the last bus leaves the
airport at 10:40 pm. If your flight gets delayed past that time call
812-340-3203 and we may be able to arrange for someone to get you. It takes an
hour to get to the airport, so the sooner you tell us the better. (Like calling
from O'Hare if you find out your flight is re-scheduled.)

Gas in expensive in Bloomington, at least a dime higher than surrounding areas.
Plan to fill up at one of the truck stops around Indianapolis, or somewhere
other than in town.

If you are staying in the IMU, you can park in their pay lot for free. If you
are not, your best bet for parking on Friday is still the pay lot. If you don't
leave until after 9 pm, the lot will probably be unattended anyway. On Saturday
and Sunday there is a lot on the corner of Kirkwood and Indiana and a parking
garage on 7th street that are free on weekends.

Thursday evening from 6 pm on, we will be in the East Lounge directly over the
hotel desk. You can sign in there or just hang out in the lounge. On Friday and
Saturday registration will be in front of Alumni Hall on the first floor at the
opposite end of the building from the hotel entrance. There should be signs, and
there are maps of the building on the walls. Note that there are two floors
*below* the first floor, Lobby (where the hotel entrance is) and Mezzanine
(where the East Lounge is).

See you there!
