[SCA-Dance] Fwd: pennsicdance: The Future of KWDS, part 2

I won't be at Pennsic either (pesky baby that I would rather have born
in VA than PA if it comes early) so I wanted to weigh in now.

Add me to the camp who much prefers KWDS every two years. Not only
does it make the event more of a draw but it also gives teachers more
time to do new research and come up with new classes, which is another
big part of what makes KWDS special. I think annual events also put
us at risk of burning through our potential host groups pretty
quickly.

I also think that having one outside of the US/Toronto every 10-15
years is part of the fun. If that means a 4 year gap when I miss one,
so-be-it. More incentive to get to the next one.

As someone who has a shortage of vacation time and NO shortage of
things to do with that vacation time I like to rotate between
different things. KWDS every two years I tend to prioritize over
other things. KWDS every year is likely going to become something I
go to only if it is convenient.

I say we should let Deonna decide if her group is ready to host in
2013 or 2014 and then try to return to an every-two-years schedule
after that. I am pro Germany in 2015 or 2016 but think we should
delay that decision for at least a year, maybe 2.

Katherine.
