Hi everyone,

I though I'd send a shameless plug for my shire's dance event in January-- just in case people are interested in coming to visit us in Edinburgh, Scotland :-)

Cheers,
Lady Estevana d'Orliens

Come join the Shire of Harplestane and Gaita on the 29th of January
2011 for a day of dancing at the latest gathering of our Dance Moot.
Dance classes will be held, with opportunities to practice in the
evening at a ball. For the non-dancers, there will be a selection of
period games to keep everyone entertained.

The site will be open from 11am to 11pm. Dance classes during the
afternoon will cover both basics for beginners, and complex
choreographies for the more advanced. A simple repast will be served
around 6, to fortify us for further dancing into the evening.

Dance Moot will be held at the historic Priory Church in the village of
South Queensferry, just north of Edinburgh. Their website is:
http://www.priorychurch.com/index.html

There is an optional dance practice contingent on numbers on Friday
night.

Please come and spend Sunday with us in a lovely castle just north of
Edinburgh; Aberdour castle is a beautiful 13th century building with a
tea shop and space to dance or fight out in the garden. Trains are
available from Edinburgh at regular intervals.

For more details or to make a reservation, see the website at
http://sites.google.com/a/harpelstane.org/dancemoot/ or contact the
event steward, Lady Ylandra Brin Shiobhan tel. +44 (0)131 662 0833 or by
email at jgreensmith2006 at googlemail.com.

The cost of the event will be £12 per person. Cheques should be made
payable to “SCA Shire of Harpelstane”. No accommodation is provided,
but Edinburgh has a multitude of B&Bs, hostels and hotels.
