So is it the case that palming in HitW is mainly a Midrealm custom? It is so much a part of the way it is danced here that some people are scandalized if you don't do it.

The thread has dealt with HitW recently, so here are my two bits:
HitW is alive and well here in Meridies, where it is the Kingdom's
unofficial dance. Every White Rose Ball in Meridies since I became
involved with the Society 13 years ago - as well as every Red Rose
Ball until it died about 5 years ago - begins with this dance. But I
have never seen anyone "palm" during it.
