1.  Pick a piece of music that you like.  It really doesn't matter.  Listen closely to it to find the beat.

2.  Dance whatever dance you want to do to it, following the beat.

Chances are, you'll be able to make it fit.  Even if one is duple meter and the other is triple, it can be done (some of us won't LIKE doing it, but that's beside the point).

My personal favorite ren-dance-to-modern-music is galliarding to the music for Hole in the Wall.
