[SCA-Dance] Too much improv

One thing that came out during the KWDS talk on improvisation was the
notion that there can be too much improvisation (=craziness) going on
during a dance. The example given was the "mosh pit" Petit Riens. Several
people spoke up to say they no longer dance this dance because they are
tired of being run over by people trying to crash through other lines. The
suggestion was made that a "safe zone" be designated at one end of the hall
for people who just want to dance rather than play "chicken". ( We
sometimes set up "no poaching" lines for similar reasons.) It's something
for those of you who organize balls to consider-- so both kinds of people
can have their fun.
