The SCA dance urban legend I've heard is that "Half Hannikin" is from
"half hand again", referring to the (SCA?) version with 1.5 turns to
progress.  On the other hand, I've heard so many false folk
etymologies that I would bet against that being the origin.

The Dargason Strikes Back

The Wrath of Dargason
Return from Beneath the Planet of Dargason

But Dargason is such a monotonous tune that I'd personally prefer not
to hear more reps.
