Greetings All --

The next meeting of the Food Guild will be again at ProtoHaven, a maker
space at 214 N Trenton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221 on June 2nd, starting at 3
pm.

https://www.protohaven.org/

At this meeting AGAIN, we will try to address the issue of cooking over a
fire. We are fortunate that ProtoHaven has an outdoor fire pit behind their
building, which is perfect for cooking and bardic circles (hint, hint).

Here’s the catch – I will provide a protein, salt, pepper, and water.
Anyone attending should bring an ingredient that they think will help make
a flavorful dish. DON’T coordinate with anyone else, your ingredient must
be a secret until the big reveal at the meeting. Then we will see what we
can make of what we have. Here's what we did last time:

I will bring charcoal, but if you have wood you want to get rid of, bring
it and we will burn it.

Bring your cast iron cookware to use over the fire if you have any. I think
I have a tripod, a small griddle and some other odds and ends. Bring what
you got.

Remember that the requirement for attending a Food Guild meeting is that
you are interested in food: cooking it, reading about it, thinking about
it, eating it, or whatever. I was asked just yesterday why we are the FOOD
guild, and not the cooks guild -- because it's all about the food.

Until we meet again, eat well, my friends!
