[SCA-BMDL] Youth fighter practice this Sunday

Unto all Youth Fighters and their parents,

This Sunday's forecast looks glorious, so we hope you'll make it to fighter
practice!

But before we get to that... some youth combat news from AEthelmearc War
Practice!

Congratulations to the new AEthelmearc Youth Champions, Ulf (Div. 2/3) and
Henry (Div 1)! And congratulations also to Patrick and Daichi who
authorized as new fighters on Friday night, and to Ian and El Tigre who
came in second in their  divisions. El Tigre also received a token for
chivalry from Queen Gabrielle of a ring from her finger. As Marshal in
Charge, I bestowed my token for chivalry on Aodhan. Thanks to outgoing
champions Stephen and Otto.

In addition, congratulations to Lord Robert MacEwin of Thornhill, former
youth fighter, who authorized to fight heavy as an adult on Sunday morning,
and to Lord Thorstein Thorgrimsson, also a former youth fighter, for
receiving his Golden Alce Saturday evening at court. AEthelmearc youth
fighters had a great weekend!

Youth Fighter practice continues this Sunday from 2:00-5:00 pm at
Washington Blvd. and Allegheny River Blvd in the East End of Pittsburgh.

Loaner gear will be available for interested kids ages 6-17 who wish to try
youth combat.

Remember that the site is somewhat primitive, with no running water and
only a portajohn for a toilet. Bring a water bottle, and if you wish to
have something to sit on other than the grass, a folding chair is a good
idea. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Youth combat schedule going forward:

May 24 - 2-5 pm at Washington Blvd.
May 31 - 2-5 pm at Washington Blvd.
June 7 - 2-5 pm at Washington Blvd.
June 14 - 2-5 pm at Washington Blvd.
June 20 (Saturday) - Youth Combat Tourney at AEthelwald Proving Grounds in
Sunderoak
