[SCA-BMDL] May Barony Meeting - The Return of Guild Wars

Greetings All!

The May Barony meeting shall be held on Sunday, May 10th at 1:30pm, in conjunction with the martial practices at the outdoor martial site on Washington Blvd.  We feature The Return of Guild Wars!  What are Guild Wars, you ask?

Each guild or group of individuals sponsors a team consisting of a rattan fighter, fencer, archer, thrower, and youth fighter with the goal of defeating your opposing teams to claim the Glorious Prize of Glory!  Can you face the music of the Singing Soldiers of the Debatable Choir?   Are you brave enough to take what the Cooks Guild can bring to the plate?  Will the Scribes prove once and for all that the pen is mightier than the sword?  Will your opponents die laughing from the antics of the Comedic Cast of I Genisii?  The possibilities are endless!  And what exactly is the Glorious Prize of Glory?  We won't know for sure until the day as each guild or group of individuals fielding a team is asked to contribute something to the prize.  The winning team gets bragging rights and claims the Glorious Prize of Glory to do with as they like.

Now is the time to start recruiting ... an individual may compete in multiple disciplines or even for multiple teams, but may not compete in the same discipline twice.  As an added bonus, the winner of the archery portion of Guild Wars shall represent the Barony at the the Scarlet Guard Challenge held at the Hornwood Guard Inn on the weekend of June 12th to June 14th, 2015.

The winner shall be announced after the competitions are complete.  Come on out to support your teams and cheer them on as Guild Wars returns to a martial practice site near you!
