Scriptorium will be held at my home in Hampton Township this Wednesday, 8
October. We are getting started a little early, 6:00 p.m. We are asking
that you park in the parking lot at Pittsburgh Closets (just before the
house if you're coming from Route 8) and walk up to the house.

Also, if people want to bring armor, that would be very cool. If you choose
to bring armor, you can pull in and drop things off before parking at
Pittsburgh Closets.

We are meeting early to have some social time and given the time, are
asking that people bring a small side dish to share, we will provide a main
course.

For those of you unfamiliar with what a Scriptorium is:
A scriptorium [plural: scriptoria], in the context of the Middle Ages, is a
room in a monastery set aside for the copying, writing, or illuminating of
manuscripts and records. In the SCA it is where those who are participating
in the Scribal arts meet in an informal setting to learn together and share
each other's company.

There will be the usual compliment of reference materials, paint-a-scrolls,
loaner equipment, and good company.

To RSVP or for more information and for directions to my home, please
contact me by either replying to this email address (jenn.strobel at gmail.com)
or by giving me a call/text at 412.213.8116.

I look forward to seeing people there.
