and baroness of the Debatable Lands, at the Debatable Lands Twelfth Night
Celebration 18 January AS 48, Jorundr hinn Rotinn, Comet Pursuivant,
reporting herald.

During barony meeting.

Their Excellencies welcomed and thanked all who attended this day, and
wished that they enjoy good food and have fun.

Their Excellencies desired the presence of Lady Sarab bint Alima. They had
seen much of the work done by Sarab for the barony, including making all
the site tokens for the Agincourt event, even though she no longer lives
within the barony. This pleased Them and so They awarded her a Green Comet.

In the evening.

The Assassin game that Baron Liam ran this day was much fun for all
involved, and only one was left alive at the end. The victor was Adell who
attended her first event this day.

The annual cookie competition was held this year and was run by THL
Muirgheal inghean Dubhghaill. The Baron's choice was Elizabeth Arrowsmith
who made peanut butter cookies. The Baroness' choice was Abbatissa Dreye of
Banneberi who made raspberry and pink peppercorn meringue. The populace's
choice was Abbatissa Dreye of Banneberi. The King of Misrule's choice was
Abbatissa Dreye of Banneberi. The Queen of Misrule's choice was Myfanwy
ferch Rhiannon who made flourless pizzeles.

Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope ran a heraldic quest this day. She first
wished to thank everybody who brought their banners to be used for the
quest. Then she wished to announce that there were 25 people who
participated in the quest this day, the youngest of which was Otto, age 6.
Since there was no one winner as many had completed the quest successfully,
the winner would be chose by lottery from those who had correctly completed
the quest. The chosen winner was Beatrix.

Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope and Lady Ceindrich ferch Elidir ran a boffer
pillow fight tournament this day. There were at least 16 contestants. The
third place was Hanse Drachenstein, in second place was Joe, and the
overall winner was Gwion ab Willem. The hororable mentions for most
dramatic deaths went to Kathryn and Rioka.

Their Excellencies then called for Sir Maghnus de Cnoc in Iora to attend
Them. They wished to thank him for bolstering the holiday spirit this day
by playing Krampus. They wished to thank him for being a good sport as he
got the beating of his life from many children as well as being very hairy.

Lady Abbatissa Dreye of Banneberi was invited forward for she wished to pay
her taxes. Abbatissa delivered many award medallions for the baronial
awards that she had made so that the baron and baroness could continue to
recognize those who had done good things.

It was remarked that there was one who had not submitted her taxes due to
the barony. It was hoped that by seeing the good example of her mother Lady
Isabel Fleuretan would be inspired to also deliver her taxes. No taxes were
forthcoming however, so Their Excellencies were forced to begin remarking
upon all the things Isabel was known to do. She was an autocrat. She was
deputy baronial signet. Isabel also was a frequent retainer. Thus, even
though she was remiss with paying her taxes Their Excellencies were moved
to award her a Gold Comet. The scroll was calligraphed by Kieran MacRae and
illuminated by Odriana vander Brugghe.

There was a competition to determine the next Arts and Sciences champion of
the barony. THL Ishiyama Gen'tarou Yori'ie ran the competition as the
outgoing champion. There were 13 entrants this year. Their Excellencies
remarked that this tournament was one of Their favorite things every year
because they get to see all the great work done by Their populace. It was
however one of the most challenging as well due to having to choose just
one winner among so many worthy entries. They did however make a choice.
This day They were most inspired by the work of Lady Sumayya al Ghazziya
who made a leather matara, a kind of water bottle. Ishiyama then gave her
the newly created champion's regalia. The scroll was calligraphed by Kieran
MacRae.

The bardic champion was held this day as well. As the outgoing champion
Master William de Montegilt ran the competion. The attendance was light yet
might this year as there were only two entrants. Their Excellencies first
wished to recognize Lady Alyssa von Stahlgeist who participated for the
second time this year, and so to encourage and recognize her for this Their
Excellencies bestowed on her a personal token, it was also Alyssa's
birthday this day, so Their Excellencies wished to invite the populace in
wishing her a happy birthday. The winner of the competition was decided. It
was to be the duo of Lady Bugga Billibit and Master William de Montegilt.

There were yet more championships to be held this day. The baronial brewing
champion was also ready to be replaced with a successor. There were six
mighty entries, yet only one could be considered the official baronial brew
for the next year. Their Excellencies determined that They favored the Sage
Sekanjabin that had been made for this day by Lady Abbatissa Dreye of
Banneberi, and so declared her as Their baronial brewing champion. The
scroll was by Kieran MacRae.

Their Excellencies invited Master Ian Damebridge of Wychwood, called Huon
to attend Them. There had been much talk with Huon about his desire for
citizenship in the Debatable Lands, though he lived outside its borders.
After consideration and consultation with Their Majesties, Timothy and
Gabrielle, Their Excellencies were pleased to consider this request. They
then heard words describing the worth and dedication of Huon to the
society, the kingdom and the barony from Comtesse Elena d'Artois and
Odriana vander Brugghe. Upon hearing these words Their Excellencies were
pleased to grant Huon citizenship in the Debatable Lands. A scroll for the
occasion had been calligraphed by Kieran MacRae with illumination by
Odriana vander Brugghe with words by Baron Uilliam Mac an Tsaoir.

Their Excellencies wished everyone safe travels as they headed home and for
all to have much fun for the rest of the event.

Court Closed.
