[SCA-BMDL] BMDL Youth Fighter Practice this Sunday

Greetings to all Youth Fighters and their parents!

Congratulations to Lord Rouland of Willowbrook, former youth fighter and past Kingdom Youth Combat Champion, who fought in his first Crown Tourney last weekend for the honor of Mistress Jenna McPherson of Lion's Tower, Chancellor of the Youth Martial Academy and former AEthelmearc Youth Marshal. Not only did Rouland acquit himself well, winning several of his fights, he was chosen by the Ladies of the Rose to bear the Shield of Chivalry for this reign. Well done, Rouland!

This Sunday, Debatable Lands youth combat practice will be held at the park at the corner of Washington Blvd. and Allegheny River Blvd. in the East End. Map here: http://goo.gl/maps/FX4wg

Practice runs from 2-5 pm as usual. This will be our last practice before the Kingdom Youth Championship Tourney at War Practice.

***Make sure to bring a water bottle***  There is NO running water on site. If you want a place to sit between bouts, remember to bring a folding chair.


War Practice on Saturday, May 18 will feature the AEthelmearc Kingdom Youth Champion tourney! Youth fighting begins at 9:30 am Saturday morning with inspections, followed by the tourney at 10:00. Tourney format will depend on the number of fighters; most likely is multiple double elimination fights in each of the three weapons forms: sword and shield, great weapon, and two-sword. The BMDL Youth Combat practice schedule for the next month is as follows:


May 12 - Practice at Washington Blvd. park

May 19 - NO PRACTICE, go to War Practice at Cooper's Lake on Saturday for the Kingdom Youth Champion tournament!
May 26 - Practice at Washington Blvd. park, with Barony meeting!
June 2 - Practice at Washington Blvd. park
