[SCA-BMDL] Youth Fighter Practice this Sunday

Greetings to all Youth Fighters and their parents!

Happy Independence Day! There are only TWO more Debatable Lands youth fighter practices until Pennsic! Let's hope the weather gods are kinder than they were last weekend.... This weekend is also the Barony meeting and Garb Swap! Bring your old outgrown garb to pass along to a younger fighter, and pick up some new-to-you garb! Other items, like feast gear and accessories, are welcome as well.

Youth fighters, if you plan to fight in the AEthelmearc Youth/Adult Tag Team Tourney at Pennsic on Wednesday of War week, and have not yet found an adult partner, NOW is the time to do it. Pennsic begins in only THREE WEEKS! There are usually adult fighters who are willing to team with youth fighters on the day of the tourney, but you are better off not counting on it and getting yourself a partner NOW!

Practice runs from 2-5 pm as usual. Once again we'll keep an eye on the weather, as the forecast is for a chance of thunderstorms. Check the barony email list or Debatable Lands' Facebook page for updates.

Make sure to bring a water bottle. If you want a place to sit between bouts, remember to bring a folding chair.


The BMDL Youth Combat practice schedule for the next month is as follows:

July 7 - Practice at Washington Blvd. park, with Barony meeting including Garb Swap and Pennsic Prep
July 14 - LAST YOUTH COMBAT PRACTICE BEFORE PENNSIC
July 21-August 4 - NO PRACTICE, we will be at PENNSIC!

At Pennsic, where there will be youth combat from 8am to 11am and 3pm-5pm daily, plus tourneys and the ever-popular CASTLE BATTLE on the final Thursday of Pennsic.
