[SCA-BMDL] Youth Fighting Practice this Sunday

Greetings to all Youth Fighters and their parents!

I hope you all had a great Pennsic. Congratulations to Eiiden Abdul Salam on his Silver Sycamore, given in part for the work he has done on making his armor as authentic to his persona as possible. Vivat! Eiiden is planning to switch to adult combat soon; we will miss him on the youth field.

Congratulations also go to Brillo and Tigre from Hunter's Home, who were both inducted into the Order of the Silver Alce for their Youth Combat skills and chivalry. Well done!

In the next month there will be not one but TWO events featuring Youth Combat!

- Saturday, August 24th, at the Siege of Harlech III at Byron & Ariella's castle, there will be a Youth Combat Tourney, details to be announced next week.
- Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Baronial Champions event at the Cabin in North Park, the Baronial Youth Champion Tourney will be held. Ramp up your game if you wish to be the next Youth Combat Champion!

BMDL youth fighter practice will be held this Sunday in the park at the corner of Washington Blvd. and Allegheny River Blvd. in the East End. Map here: http://goo.gl/maps/FX4wg



Practice runs from 2-5 pm as usual. The weather forecast looks good (for a change). I'll have freezer pops!

Make sure to bring a water bottle. If you want a place to sit between bouts, remember to bring a folding chair.

The BMDL Youth Combat practice schedule going forward is as follows:



August 11 - Practice at Washington Blvd.

August 17 (Saturday) - Siege of Harlech, with Youth Combat Tourney and Woods Battle!
August 18 (Sunday) - NO Practice, go to the tourney at Siege of Harlech on Saturday
August 25 - Practice at Washington Blvd.
Sept. 1 - Practice at Washington Blvd.
Sept. 8 (Sunday) - Baronial Champions' event with Baronial Youth Combat Champion's Tourney, at the Cabin in North Park
